The Allison fault code number is: P0702.Gearbox identification is used by the control unit to detect different gearbox hardware and, based on this, the selection of a suitable calibration.The fault code is cleared automatically, when the vehicle has completed 40 start-up cycles without the fault being detected again.

The control unit cannot determine which gearbox identification level the gearbox has.
Possible cause
The cause can be that there is no connection between control unit pin 76 and the gearbox, or there is an open circuit in cable 176.
