Open circuit in shift solenoid SS2
Check the cable harness between gearbox and control unit. Check the control unit cable harness which is connected to pins 31 and 19.Contact an Allison dealer if the fault persists.The fault code can be cleared manually using SDP3 or using Allison's diagnostic tool. The fault code is cleared automatically, when the vehicle has completed 40 start-up cycles without the fault being detected again.

System reaction
The fault code can be set if the following conditions are met:The voltage supply of the components is above 9 V and 15 voltage is below 32 V.If the control unit is in the start-up process or if the engine speed is above 200 rpm.The accumulator cannot be used if the gearbox is fitted with a retarder.Yellow warning lamp comes on.The fault code is stored in the memory.
Diagnostic depth
The control unit has detected an open circuit of more than 2 seconds on the shift solenoid return circuit.
Possible cause:The cable harness in the shift solenoid return circuit is damaged.
