Incorrect Tire Dimension Detection, beyond 10% faulty (RA left)
- Check wheel circumference and number of pole-wheel teeth at the relevant wheel - Check parameter setting concerning circumference and pole wheel teeth numbers Remark: A repair can be considered successful only when the vehicle is driven again in order to detect possible dynamic failure.
What you'll see
No driver-visible symptom recorded.
System reaction
ABS function at relevant wheel is switched off ABS function at other wheels is still available ATC engine and brake control is switched off HSA is deactivated EBL is not deactivated Drag Torque Control is deactivated
Diagnostic depth
- The rear axle left wheel shows a deviation speed above 10%(±2%) compared to the mean value of the front axle. - The parametrized tire circumference (rear axle left wheel) has a 10% dimension difference compared to the standard front tire circumference. This standard circumference depends on the parametrized front pole wheel teeth number. If the difference is higher, then a failure will be detected. The difference is caused by the adjustment procedures.
- wheel circumference or number of pole-wheel teeth at the relevant wheel not correct - parameter setting concerning circumference and pole wheel teeth numbers not correct
