What you'll see
• ACS6 will stop sending CAN messages which will activate warnings in ACS (at least amber ACS warning and speed limitation) • ACS6 will set discrete outputs in fail safe modes

Diagnostic depth
Faults are detected using different methods for different types of memories. The following checks are applied for the respective memory type: • program flash is checked against a pre-calculated checksum • calibration flash is checked against a pre-calculated checksum • internal RAM is checked with the CPU built-in ECC function (see manual for MPC5668E) • EEprom emulated in flash is monitored in various data consistency checks • Stack memory is checked with the CPU built-in ECC function (see manual for MPC5668E)
