E-APU Software Failure
Erase fault memory. Switch off ignition. Wait 30s. Switch on ignition again. If fault still present, exchange ECU.
What you'll see
No driver-visible symptom recorded.
System reaction
The ECU performs a reset in case of a run-time failure detected by task monitoring or if the watch dog timer has expired. If the failure is caused by the application software and the condition is permanent, pressure regulation is no longer possible and the safety-valve will become active with running engine. If condition is temporary, no influence on functionality.
Diagnostic depth
Task monitoring and run-time supervision. Faults detected during power-up are stored in error memory immediately. Application related faults are detected and stored 2 seconds after ignition is switched on.
Failure of internal electronic hardware or unexpected state machine software failure.
