BT malfunction
Restart the infotainment system and check if the DTC remains active. Try to connect a phone to the infotainment system using Bluetooth. If that is possible there should be no general problem with the Bluetooth module. The driver can monitor if any fault remains. The Bluetooth module cannot be replaced separately. Note. Before replacing the infotainment system update to the latest available software.
What you'll see
It is not possible to connect a phone anymore and/or the switch in the HMI is not possible to enable anymore
System reaction
The system disconnects all connected Bluetooth devices and it is not possible to re-connect them anymore
Diagnostic depth
If the paramter System_Bluetooth = on and No or faulty information from BT module. This fault will be checked in run-time.
Wifi/BT is a combo chip from Marvel. HCI_FATAL_ERROR will be reported by the stack when the chip goes to error state or when the chip doesn’t respond. For example if RX & TX of UART line is shorted.
