Approach sensor malfunction
Restart the infotainment system and check if the DTC remains active. Check that the Approach sensor feature is ON in the SETUP menu. Turn on the infotainment system screen saver (longpress on DISPLAY button) and wave a hand in front of the unit to check if the approach sensor is working. Note. Before replacing the infotainment system update to the latest available software.

Diagnostic depth
If the parameter System_ApproachSensor = on and approach sensor has an internal fault with effect that it cannot detect hand movements. This fault will be checked in run-time.
Communication to the approach sensor chip is disrupted. E.g. by - High EMC levels - Broken part
