Power Supply Too Low
Check for undervoltage DTC in other control units. Disconnect all power lines from the infotainment system. Turn the ignition key to ON and measure the voltage between each wire to U31. The measurement result should be as follows: - Pin D18: 30 voltage to infotainment system = 12 V. - Pin D17: Earth to infotainment system = 0 V. - Pin D12: Primary Initial Signal from Start Lock = 24 V. If there is undervoltage in the 12 V supply, continue troubleshooting with the equalizer, E129, (truck 24/12 V DC converter). Only connect power, ground and CAN power grids, E7 (CAN-low) and E1 (CAN-high) pins to the electronic control unit. Connect with SDP3 to get information about any component connected to the infotainment system is short-circuited. Fix any active or inactive DTCs. Note. Before replacing the infotainment system update to the latest available software.
What you'll see
External components connected to the 12V output, for example cameras, might stop working.
System reaction
Below 9 volt: Popup will appear informing the user about low voltage. Below 7 volt: Display will turn off. Below 6 volt: Audio will turn off. After 3 minutes below 9 volt the system will shut down. Below 4 volt: System will shut down immediately.
Diagnostic depth
If the Battery voltage goes below 8.5V. This fault will be checked in run-time. For more information, please check the Temperature & Voltage document.
