DTC β€Ί BCI_B1 BCI_B1 / 0228 2 variants

System voltage is above 32 V

β–Ά How to fix

Measure the supply voltage to the expansion unit. Check power supply/ ground connection to expansion unit. Check for possible alternator/ battery failure. If DTC still is active it might be an internal failure in expansion unit. Replace the unit!

What you'll see

No driver-visible symptom recorded.

System reaction

β€’ Functions dependent on the supply voltage are degraded.

Diagnostic depth

Detection

The DTC is set active if the supply voltage is above 32V for 2 seconds.. The DTC is set inactive if the sensor voltage is below 32V 1 seconds. The DTC is not set in the following cases: β€’ system voltage is below 32V β€’ system voltage is above 16V β€’The DTC is ignored during start-up (2000 ms). β€’The DTC is not detected during engine start (i.e. at engine speeds between 0 and 400 rpm)

Possible cause

Malfunctioning alternator.
