Check the fuel level sensor, connectors and wiring. Check the voltage between output signal and ground for the fuel level sensor. Check also the function of the fuel level sensor.

Detection
The fuel level sensor may be defective or there is no signal from the fuel level sensor. The voltage level for the fuel level sensor may also be too high or too low.
Possible cause
Short circuit to earth, open circuit, defective fuel level sensor or defective connections.
