DCC overvoltage on VCA-side
â–¶ How to fix
• Disconnect VCA power cables E84.C and E84.D from DCC and measure voltage max 33V. • Check the 24V-battery configuration. • Measure the 24V battery voltage. it should be within normal voltage levels. i.e. 22 - 26V. • If over voltage detected replace 24V battery
What you'll see
No driver-visible symptom recorded.
System reaction
• VOR, 24V not charging. DCC will be disabled and enter error state and the 24-volt system will drain the 24-volt batteries. • Amber warning lamp "24V batteries not charged" and "Hybrid System Fault" is shown in ICL
Diagnostic depth
Detection
One of the following error flags are sent on CAN from DCC: • Lowside voltage external error • Lowside voltage internal error
Possible cause
Wrong battery connected.
