If the cable harness is open load, components connected to the LIN bus will not function.

Detection
The supply voltage is measured by the climate control system (E138). Open load is only detected when the supply is activated. Short circuit to battery might or might not be detected when the supply is activated, but will always be detected when the supply is inactivated.
Possible cause
1. The supply cable harness is open, or 2. The supply cable harness is short circuit to battery.
