Detection
The voltage in the brake pedal sensor circuit has either been above or below the permitted level. The brake pedal sensor generates two separate output signals and the fault applies to the normal output signal (output signal 1).
Possible cause
Short circuit or open circuit in the normal output signal (output signal 1) of the brake pedal sensor. There may also be an internal fault in the brake pedal sensor.
