Brake pedal normal sensor signal does not agree with redundant sensor.

â–¶ How to fix

• Check connectors (to brake pedal sensor) • Check accelerator pedal sensor • Check wiring (to brake pedal sensor)

What you'll see

Continuous brake light. Problem activating exhaust brake. Brake pedal information sent on the CAN-bus is labeled with an error indicator. Cruise control is disabled Adaptive Cruise control is disabled Collision Mitigation (warning and/or brake assist) will be deactivated.

System reaction

Amber Cruise Control malfunc.

Detection

Signals from brake pedal normal sensor and brake pedal redundant sensor do not correspond. Sensor component plausibly faulty.

Possible cause

• Defect brake pedal sensor component (potentiometers) • Defect connectors, poor contact • Defect wiring, leakage currents between wires or between wires and ground
