0x80201B,Driver side-airbag high resistance
1. Measure voltage in the in-vehicle 24-volt connector, if voltage is above 32V check battery/power generator. If voltage below 32V, continue to next instruction. 2. Reset DTCs and check if DTC remains after ignition on/off, ECU need to be replaced?
What you'll see
No driver-visible symptom recorded.
System reaction
Indication: CSS (airbag) malfunction warning indication is displayed in ICL Consequence: Airbags and belt-pretensioners may not deploy upon crash depending of if energy reserve is sufficient to compensate for the higher resistance
Diagnostic depth
Measured resistance over Driver side-airbag squib is higher than 6.0 Ohm (implausible value)
No airbag/beltpretensioner connected Incompatible or defect squib,Bad contacts somewhere in the ignition loop
