0x803801,Rear passenger side side-airbag CrossCoupled
If this DTC arises and is due to cable harness issues the problem should always arise in same DTC on over two squibs. 1. Disconnect ECU cable connector as well as the DTC indicated squib cable connector 2. Locate relevant pins on cable connector according to DTC and measure resistance between the positive wire on ECU connector side and positive wire on squib connector side to ensure that the positive wire hasn't been crosscoupled. If ok then continue to next instruction. If not ok, then repair cable harness. 3. Redo instruction two but for negative wire, if problem found repair cable harness, otherwise continue to next instruction 4. Measure directly on ECU connector pins, locate corresponding pins indicated by the DTC, start with positive pin and measure resistance to all other pins, if shortage is found against another pin then replace ECU. If no problem found, continue to next instruction. 5. Redo instruction 4 for negative pin
