DCC short circuit on VCA-side

â–¶ How to fix

• Reset DTC • Toggle ignition key to "key off" and await system reset then "key on" i.e. system wake up. • Read out DTC's again • Check VCA power cables E84.C and E84.D from DCC to the 24-V battery • Disconnect VCA power cables E84.C and E84.D from DCC and 24-V battery and measure resistance between the cables. • Replace cable harness if damaged • Replace DCC(E84) if no cable fault could be detected

What you'll see

No driver-visible symptom recorded.

System reaction

• VOR, 24V not charging. DCC will be disabled and enter error state and the 24-volt system will drain the 24-volt batteries. • Yellow warning lamp "24V batteries not charged" and "Hybrid System Fault" is shown in ICL
