Open circuit on sensing strip, rear leaf
Check the defect component and wiring. The resistance measured through the sensing strip when it is disconnected from the DCU shall be approximately 8200 ohm when it is not compressed and shall be less than 2000 ohm when it is compressed.
What you'll see
The door might not open automatically if an obstacle is hit during closing.
System reaction
No functional reaction by the system, door operation still functions but only the deviant motion obstacle detection function remains in operation for this leaf. The DCU signals 'Minor fault' over CAN to MBS, which then requests an exclamation mark indication in the related door in Bus stop page in ICL.
Diagnostic depth
The DCU has detected open circuit on the input for the sensitive strip. This DTC is set when the resistance measured through the sensing strip is higher than 12 000 ohm. The input is CN3-9 on a LHD bus and CN3-11 on a RHD bus.
- Open circuit due to damaged or broken wires. - The contact elements inside the sensing strip is out of order. - The termiation resistor inside the sensing strip (8200 ohm) is out of order.
