DCU temperature too high
- Turn off the DCU and let it cool down to room temperature before attempting to use the system again. The safest way is to remove the fuse to the VBAT power supply to the DCU. - Make sure that the DCU has sufficient cooling, that air can circulate freely through the heat sink. - Make sure that no strong heat source is close to the DCU. - If the above provisions are OK and the DTC is set repeatedly, contact Scania Global Technical Support for advice.
What you'll see
The system does not neccessarily show any symptoms but may function partially in an unpredictable way. If the temperature is far over the limit it may not function at all. The DCU housing is hot.
System reaction
No system-reaction text recorded.
Diagnostic depth
Internal temperature sensors in the DCU has detected a temperature over 100°C for more than 30 seconds.
-Insufficient cooling of the DCU -Hardware failure
