e-motor over temperature condition

â–¶ How to fix

• Check e-motor outer fan. Read DTC 10A using UDS service. • Check the cooling system. • Check overload conditions DTC 105 using UDS service. • Replace e-motor.

What you'll see

Low system pressure e-motor very hot

System reaction

Diagnostic depth

Detection

The DTC is set to active if any of the e-motor internal temperature sensors indicate an over temperature condition: • PCB temperature sensor indicate a temperature ≥ 105 °C • Power stage temperature sensor indicate a temperature ≥ 106 °C • e-motor temperature sensor indicate a temperature ≥ 135 °C • Capacitor temperature sensor indicate a temperature ≥ 100 °C The DTC is set to inactive if all of the e-motor internal temperature sensors previously triggered the over temperature condition falls below the reset points: • PCB temperature sensor reset point: 97 °C • Power stage temperature sensor reset point: 98 °C • e-motor temperature sensor reset point: 125 °C • Capacitor temperature sensor reset point: 92 °C

Possible cause

One or more of the following: • Running at too high ambient temperature • Outer fan FAN failure • Coolant temperature too high • Insufficient coolant flow • High torque load • Internal fault in e-motor
