Longitudinal Acceleration Sensor : Signal locked to a too high value

â–¶ How to fix

External Yaw-Rate-Sensor: - check sensor housing for defects - check correct mounting of the sensor (e.g. original bracket, screws, etc.) - check that the sensor is not high by any parts (e.g. pipes) - check whether sensor mounting location differs from the released mounting location Integrated Yaw-Rate-Sensor: - check Central-ECU housing for defects - check correct mounting of Central-ECU (e.g. original bracket, screws, etc.) - check that Central-ECU is not high by any parts (e.g. pipes) - check whether Central-ECU mounting location differs from the released mounting location. Clear DTC, if something looks damaged or the failure returns, replace the component(s). If sensor or Central-ECU has been replaced calibration of acceleration sensor has to be performed.

What you'll see

No driver-visible symptom recorded.

System reaction

ESP control off YRS Gateway signal FE/FF ESP Warning Lamp.

Diagnostic depth

Detection

The DTC is set if the sensor signal exceeds the maximum possible range of the longitudinal acceleration.

Possible cause

- sensor (external YRS) or Central-ECU (integrated YRS) is mounted wrongly - internal sensor failure/defect - frame vibrations - defective fixation (original bracket, screws, etc.) - mounting location does not meet specification - accident
