Steering Angle Sensor : Longtime calibration failed
Check the mounting of the sensor and check if sensor is calibrated correctly (+-10 degree in straight line position). If necessary recalibrate the sensor. If fault is still active check steering system for specified parts. If fault is still active, replace the steering angle sensor.
What you'll see
No driver-visible symptom recorded.
System reaction
ESP control off. ESP Warning Lamp.
Diagnostic depth
The failure is reported if the offset of the steering angle sensor is higher than 90 degrees (depending on dataset parameter) or if the fast offset adjustment of the sensor (started via diagnosis) results in a high offset (90 degrees depending on dataset parameter).
Sensor is calibrated or mounted wrongly or wrong parameter for threshold in dataset or steering angle sensor is damaged.
