Lining Wear Supply Wheel 1 : signal stuck high, unswitchable to OFF
Check the cables and connectors from the lining wear sensor to the corresponding EPM (including check for chafing damage) for short circuits. Disconnect lining wear sensor from EPM. Measure the lining wear sensor supply externally with lining wear sensor supply deactivated and the voltage must be below 0.5V. If not replace EPM. Activate the lining wear supply and the value shall be within 4.5-5.5V. If not replace EPM. Disconnect also EPM from central ECU. Check resistance between voltage supply pin of wire to EPM and wire to lining wear sensor supply. If resistance is smaller than 200 kOhm then error is in the wiring.
What you'll see
No driver-visible symptom recorded.
System reaction
Lining wear control off. Lining Wear Warning Lamp.
Diagnostic depth
The error is set if the lining wear sensor supply is switched off, but its voltage remains above minimum voltage (0.5V).
Damage in the wiring and/or connectors between lining wear sensor and EPM, damaged EPM
