Plausibility between Front Axle Speed and Yawrate Sensor Signal
a) When tires were changed, the speedometer must be calibrated to the new tire dimensions. - Check the TCO-signal (function of speedometer) - Is the TCO-speed signal correctly calibrated ? - Check the vehicle-specific parameters of the speedometer b) The EBS-centralmodule must have correct parameters - Check the parameters in the EBS-centralmodule (speedometer signal source, tire dimensions) c) The ESC function requires a correct assembly of the ESC-sensing - Check the assembly position of the ESC-module (resp. EBS-centralmodule with internal ESC sensing) -> mechanical hardware-coding between the module and vehicle-frame - Check the correct electric connection of the module - Check the fixing of the ESC-module (resp. EBS-centralmodule with internal ESC sensing)
What you'll see
Warning on dashboard / Vehicle behaviour might be changed
System reaction
- ABS is still available - ESC-function (yawcontrol and RSC) are switched off - el.pn. pressurecontrol is still available at all axles
Diagnostic depth
—
- speedometer not calibrated - incorrect parameters in the EBS-centralmodule (speedometer signal source, tire dimensions) - incorrect assembly of ESC-module (resp. EBS-centralmodule with internal ESC sensing)
