CAN message from coordinator.
Check whether more fault codes affecting the yellow CAN bus have been registered on other control units. If only the affected control unit does not respond, there are no electrical faults on the CAN bus. Check the control unit concerned and its CAN cables for open circuits or poor connections. If the control unit is connected to a different CAN bus than the ELC, this can indicate that this part of the CAN cable harness is faulty. Check also the coordinator's fault codes. Electromagnetic interference can occur e.g. due to a wrongly connected mobile telephone.
What you'll see
No driver-visible symptom recorded.
System reaction
No system-reaction text recorded.
Diagnostic depth
The response time for the CAN message has been too long.
There may be a break or poor contact in the cable harness for CAN to the affected control unit. There may be an internal fault in control unit in question or it may not have a power supply. Electromagnetic interference may also be a cause.
