Check the EGR cooler. A visual inspection of the tubes on the outlet side is sufficient. Check the turbo charger and the VGT/WG actuator Check if the engine high consumption of engine oil, e.g. leakage in the turbo charger. Check the boost pressure sensor

Measured boost pressure is higher than the reference boost pressure for a certain time.
Possible cause
Clogged EGR cooler, broken turbocharger, broken VGT/WG-actuator, overfueling, engine running on engine oil (oil leakage), the boost pressure sensor might have an offset error.
