EGR pos sensor: Adapted sensor voltage, at open end position, is outside the permitted range.

â–¶ How to fix

Check that the cylinder can move the full range. Most important is to verify that the EGR valve can reach fully opened position. Check that the potentiometer T124 is correctly installed. Check the air supply from actuator V107. The air supply can be verified by disconnecting the air supply hose from the pneumatic cylinder and run an EGR-adaptation sequence using SDP3. During the adaptation sequence air should flow from the disconnected air hose. Check electrical connectors and wiring. Observe! If the EGR valve, EGR position sensor or pneumatic cylinder is exchanged, the stored EGR adaptation data must be cleared to prevent current trouble code from reappearing.

What you'll see

No driver-visible symptom recorded.

System reaction

Control of EGR will be less accurate.

Diagnostic depth

Detection

When checking the opened end position of the EGR-valve, the sensor voltage shows unreasonable values.

Possible cause

The travel of the EGR-valve is restricted near opened end position. Leakage in air supply to pneumatic cylinder. Faulty position sensor T124, actuator V107 or pneumatic cylinder.
