System reaction
The engine might be hard to start and some functions using a lot of power might be deactivated. For example: dipped beam functionality, the seat heater, the rear view mirror heater.

Detection
The battery voltage has been below the permitted level. It has been below 21 V for 5 seconds when engine is idling. Test conditions are fulfilled when engine speed is greater than 400rpm and the raw battery voltage is above 9V.
Possible cause
Battery faulty, alternator fault or too high current usage in the system.
