System reaction
Some functions using a lot of power are shut off. Some of them are the dipped beam functionality, the seat heater and the rear view mirror heater. The engine power is reduced to protect the engine from overheating because the fan belt drives the water pump.
Diagnostic depth
1. Alternator 1 indicates that it is not loading through input ALT1_61 when it is activated through output ALT_U15:1. The diagnosis is done when engine speed is higher than idle speed. or 2. Alternator 1 indicates that it is loading through input ALT1_61 when it is not activated through output ALT_U15:1. The diagnosis is done when engine speed is lower than idle speed.
