Fuel PDE temp sensor plausibility
- Check the wiring harness / connector for the fuel temperature sensor (T118). - Check that the ambient temperature sensor gives a reasonable value - Check that coolant temperature sensor (T33) gives a reasonable value - Replace the fuel temperature sensor
What you'll see
No driver-visible symptom recorded.
System reaction
"Engine coolant temperature" is used instead as a replacement. The delivered engine power/torque will be less accurate.
Diagnostic depth
The temperature from the fuel temperature sensor (T118) is compared with the coolant temperature (T33). A fault is set when the temperatures differ too much. The diagnosis is only carried out when the coolant temperature and ambient temperature are similar, and before starting the engine
- Faulty wiring / connector to the sensor (T118) - Faulty sensor (T118) - Faulty coolant (T33) / ambient temperature sensors
