â–¶ How to fix
Check the actuator, connectors and wiring. To confirm a correct repair, warm up the engine and then let the engine idle for a short while. The DTC should now be passive if the fault is correctly repaired.

No driver-visible symptom recorded.
System reaction
The engine performance is affected. Increased particulate emissions, smoke may occur. Normal control of the EGR valve will not be possible. Unintended activation of the EGR valve may also occur. No adaptation of the inlet air mass flow sensor will occur.

Short circuit high to battery voltage (U30) in the EGR valve actuator circuit.
Possible cause
Pin 8 in connector A3 (EGR_ACT) short circuited to battery voltage (U30).
