Oil press sensor, pressure too low
Check status of the valves in the oil system and look for damage on the oil pump, oil filter, vortex cleaner, suction pipe and suction strainer. Also check oil level in oil sump.

System reaction
Low oil pressure can cause serious damage to the engine and it will lead to engine breakdown if no action is taken. Warning lamp for low pressure is lit in instrument. In some vehicles, that has engine protection active, the engine speed will be reduced when oil pressure is too low. This engine speed reduction might be active after oil pressure warning light has been turned off.
Diagnostic depth
Oil press sensor, pressure too low. The measured oil pressure is too low while the engine is running.
Possible reason for this detection is that some of the valves in the oil system are stuck in open position. There are two valves that can cause this problem; 1. Safety valve placed in the oil pump housing, 2. Relief valve normally placed in the housing of the centrifugal oil cleaner. Damage on the oil pump, oil filter, centrifugal oil cleaner, suction pipe, and/or too low oil level in oil sump can also cause too low oil pressure. Blocked suction strainer is also a possible reason.
