Pressure sensors

β–Ά How to fix

At ambient temperatures below freezing, the error due to ice forming in the sensor. Ensure that the sensor has had time to thaw before further action Compare the values from all pressure sensors: Boost pressure, atmospheric pressure and exhaust pressure. With the ignition on and engine off, all three sensors should show a pressure corresponding to the current atmospheric pressure (~ 1000hPa at sea level). Check the sensor wiring and connectors. Change the sensor that differs from the actual pressure. To verify that the error code has been fixed, make sure the engine is warm, turn on the power with the ignition key, wait 30 seconds and then start the engine. The error code will be inactive immediately.

What you'll see

No driver-visible symptom recorded.

System reaction

Can lead to an increase in fuel consumption When the ambient temperature has been below freezing, there is a possibility of ice forming on the sensor.

Diagnostic depth

Detection

The boost pressure sensor (T122) shows a inplausible value in comparison with the atmospheric pressure sensor, and exhaust pressure sensor.

Possible cause

- Faulty boost pressure sensor (T122), or the sensor is clogged with dirt. - Fault in wiring or connectors.
