Fuel PDE temp sensor, Unknown fault
Warning: The fuel rail can still be pressurized with high pressure. Wear safety goggles. Risk that for burns when the safety valve is open. - Check the wiring harness / connector for the rail temperature sensor (T118). - Check that the fuel temperature sensor gives a reasonable value - Replace the fuel temperature sensor
What you'll see
No driver-visible symptom recorded.
System reaction
"Engine coolant temperature" is used instead as a replacement. The delivered engine power/torque will be less accurate.
Diagnostic depth
EMS has found an error with the fuel temperature sensor (T118) but can not determine what the fault is
Faulty wiring / connector to fuel temperature sensor Faulty fuel temperature sensor Faulty ambient air temperature sensor Faulty engine coolant temperature sensor
