Exhaust gas temperature sensor before the SCR catalyst (T113)
Check for additional error codes related to engine or exhaust treatment systems. Make sure the exhaust system is not manipulated Check the wiring and connectors to the sensor. Check the temperature sensor - measure the electrical resistance. At 10-30 °C, the resistance should be between 207-222 ohms. Check the wiring and connector to the temperature sensor. If there is a fault with the sensor, replace it. When changing the sensor - the sensor is fragile and must be installed carefully To check that the fault has been fixed, use SDP3 to run the Exhaust gas aftertreatment function test for SCR
What you'll see
No driver-visible symptom recorded.
System reaction
Reduced urea consumption The fault affects the engine emission of nitrogen oxides. Depending on the emission class can torque reduction, speed limitation occur and the warning lamp lit
Diagnostic depth
Exhaust gas temperature sensors before the SCR catalyst (T113) signal is not plausible. The value is much lower than the calculated temperature
- Faulty sensor - Manipulated exhaust - Error with measurement of gas flow. e.g. Airmass flow sensor [T126]
