Parking brake function - Park not possible
Ensure that the vehicle cannot roll away (use wheel chocks or use the service brake). Press the brake pedal and push the HCU into release position. Wait until the LED on the HCU stops blinking (becomes inactive), then apply the parking brake within a short time by pulling the HCU into PARK position. If the parking brake is succesfully applied, the HCU LED is lit and the warning disappears from the instument cluster. If the warning is still active, check pneumatics of vehicle (e.g. blockage in pipings) and then repeat the aforementioned steps. If the warning is still active, replace the EPB. If DTC is cleared by diagnostic tool, release and apply manually the parking brake a couple of times. Check that the DTC doesnΒt appear again.
