Offset between piston position sensors was too big when calibrated
â–¶ How to fix
1. Center the tag axle. 2. Compare values from piston position sensors 1 and 2 (i.e. CID 0xF440 and 0xF441). - If values differ more than 1.25 mm replace CVU. - If sensors difference is less than 1.25 mm, reperform tag axle center position calibration procedure, using StartRoutine 0x31 0x40 (Calibrate centre position).
What you'll see
No driver-visible symptom recorded.
System reaction
Red Steer tag axle fault warn
Diagnostic depth
Detection
The offset between the two piston position sensors (CPS) exceeds the defined limit from supplier, Component code T1001.
Possible cause
Hardware error on piston position sensors (CVU::CPS).
