If the vehicle does not have a tachograph, renew the instrument cluster. If the vehicle has a tachograph, the instrument cluster should be renewed. If the instrument cluster is not renewed, inform the vehicle owner that the internal clock in the instrument cluster does not function when the starter key is in any other position than the lock position and that this can affect time stamps and storage of fault codes which will complicate future troubleshooting.
