System reaction
DTC area will be cleared/formatted and prepared for use again, and this DTC will be stored.

Application will calculate and compare checksums
Possible cause
Some eeprom memory bits have changed since the time they were written. Impossible to determine which bits. The cause might be that the instrument has been interrupted during a write operation, for instance by loss of sufficient supply voltage.
