Vehicle speed information is missing
Check for DTCs in chassis systems TCO and BMS to eliminate faults that may prevent the messages from beeing sent. If there are more fault codes for message or communication error, check the CAN bus wiring on both sides of the chassis system's gateway (BCI) and its power supply.
What you'll see
If all vehicle speed information is not available: functionalities such as doors and bus stop brake will not work as intended.
System reaction
If all vehicle speed information (from both TCO and BMS) is not available: All functionality that has low speed requirements will be severly degraded. If the vehicle speed information from either TCO or BMS is still available: The available information will be used on its own.
Diagnostic depth
Vehicle speed information from either TCO and/or BMS is missing, meaning that the CAN signals have values Error or NotAvailable.
- Error in the signal TCOVehSpeed from the TCO - Error in the signal from the BMS - A control unit is not communicating on the CAN bus or the messages are not passed through the chassis system gateway (BCI)
