Boost temperature
Check the signal from the sensor (connected to the coordinator).See if there is any visible fault on the ambient temperature sensor, wiring or connectors. For engines with NOx-control software, confirmation of repair requires:- The boost temperature above 3degC Take the vehicle into *DTC invalidation mode* with SDP3 or turn key on/off four times with more than 10 sec between.- The difference between the boost temperature and the ambient temperature less than 10 degC for 10 s.If the fault is remedied, the DTC should now be passive.
What you'll see
No driver-visible symptom recorded.
System reaction
None. For engines with NOx-control software, this DTC is classed as a type C failure.
Diagnostic depth
The boost temperature is significantly lower than the ambient temperature where these should be approximately equal. The boost temperature sensor signal is not plausible.
The ambient temperature sensor shows to high temperature. The boost temperature sensor shows too low temperature.
