EEPROM memory in the EEC system
Renew the control unit in the EEC system.For engines with NOx-control software, confirmation of repair requires:- Turn the ignition off, wait at least 90 s- Turn the ignition on If the fault is remedied, the DTC should now be passive.

System reaction
The EEC system will not inject any urea, which leads to higher emissions. The RAM mirror for EEPROM is filled with zeros.For engines with NOx-control software, this DTC is classed as a type D failure.
Diagnostic depth
Internal fault in the control unit for the EEC system. Communication with the EEPROM fails.(Refer BOSCH SW-specification Y281S01334-VC0 for more details. Error path: ep00_s_def_ouw.0, eepm_s_def_ouc.4.)
During ECU initialization the EEPROM is read out to shadow RAM (RAM mirror). If the status byte from EEPROM is not correct or a SPI communication error occurs then is this error reported one single time.
