Dosing valve in the EEC system
Check urea line for bends, check dosing and main unit for urea crystals. Remove any crystals with water. If the truck has been exposed to temperatures below -10 degC after the error was detected, check dosing unit for leaks. For engines with NOx-control software, confirmation of repair requires:- Execute the βSCR invalidation testβ with SDP3 (takes approximately 30 minutes and needs to be run outdoors)- Or make sure that the SCR system starts up four times with ignition key off for 90 s in betweenIf the fault is remedied, the DTC should now be passive.
What you'll see
No driver-visible symptom recorded.
System reaction
The EEC system will not inject any urea, which leads to higher emissions. The error could damage the dosing unit in temperatures below -10 degC.For engines with NOx-control software, this DTC is classed as a type D failure.
Diagnostic depth
During dosing of urea, no pressure drop in urea pressure is detected.(Refer BOSCH SW-specification Y281S01334-VC0 for more details. Error path: ep04_s_def_ouw.5, sudv_s_def_ouc.0.)
Blockage in dosing unit, in the urea outlet of the EEC main unit or in the urea line between dosing and main unit.
