EEC, Pump motor not delivering (startup)
Use SCR system check 1-3 in SDP3 to locate the problem and verify the solution.Check that there is urea in the tank.Check if there is diesel in the urea tank, if so clean the tank and replace the EEC main unit.Check the ventilation of the urea tank for blockage.Check the urea lines and connectors for leakage.Check the prefilter and main filter for cloggage.Check the signal from the urea pressure sensor.Check that the urea tank heater works properly.Check that the dosing valve is able to close fully. If it is not possible to locate the fault outside the EEC main unit, the last action is to replace the EEC main unit. For engines with NOx-control software, confirmation of repair requires:- No air pressure sensor errors for EEC- No urea pressure sensor errors- No compressed air valve error for EEC- No compressed air pressure error for EEC- No blocked nozzle error for EEC- No catalyst downstream temperature error- Execute the βSCR invalidation testβ with SDP3 (takes approximately 30 minutes and needs to be run outdoors)- Or make sure that the SCR system starts up four times with ignition key off for 90 s in betweenIf the fault is remedied, the DTC should now be passive.
What you'll see
No driver-visible symptom recorded.
System reaction
The EEC system will not inject any urea, which leads to higher emissions. For engines with NOx-control software, this DTC is classed as a type D failure.
Diagnostic depth
Urea pressure has not increased above 2.83 bar relative pressure within 100 seconds after starting the pump at full load. This pressure is built up at every start up or restart of the system.(Refer BOSCH SW-specification Y281S01334-VC0 for more details. Error path: ep00_s_def_ouw.13, smot_s_def_ouc.3.)
Leakage in the urea inlet line.Leakage or clogging in the urea lines.Diesel in the urea tank has damaged the EEC main unit. (Even a very small quantity of diesel in the urea will damage the unit.)Heating of the urea tank has failed at cold weather conditions.Blockage in the tank ventilation.Clogged prefilter or clogged main filter.Dosing valve not fully closed.EEC main unit failure.
