Check whether there are any more fault codes relating to faults on the fan to determine where the fault lies. Check the fan. If the fan has to be renewed, this must be carried out by the manufacturer. If the battery charger is faulty, renew the battery charger. A faulty battery charger must be renewed by the manufacturer.

The RTI unit is switched off when the vehicle is started.
Possible cause
The cooling fan is not working or cannot cool the battery charger because of high ambient temperatures. The battery charger may be faulty.
