ECA - Electric motor short circuit
Check the battery and battery supply Check the sensor, connector and wiring. Renew the ECA
What you'll see
No driver-visible symptom recorded.
System reaction
Amber gearbox warning. If vehicle is standing still, neutral position will be engaged. If driving, locked gear. Neutral position will be engaged when braking to stop. After this the vehicle will not be able to drive off.
Diagnostic depth
Detect if El-motor phases are short circuit or open load (detected in MOSFET driver hw).
1. Faulty motor control electronics - 2. Faulty Motor control system - Not enough power to disengage quickly 4. Loss of torque from motor due to overheating (coil winding insulation melting or demagnetization) Faulty motor control electronics - One or more phases short to DC supply
