• Check the EBS for DTCs • If DTCs cannot be read from the EBS: - check CAN connection to EBS unit - check power supply and ignition signal to the EBS • Check wiring and connectors for the CAN-bus

• Instrument cluster will display warning(s). • Functions dependent on information from EBS are degraded (examples listed below): - LKA, Lane Departure Warning With Active Steering
Diagnostic depth
The DTC is set active if the CAN message ElectronicBrakeController1-A has been absent for 500 ms. The DTC is set inactive when the CAN message ElectronicBrakeController1-A is received. The DTC is not set in the following cases: • ignition is turned off • first 2 seconds after ignition on • system voltage is below 22 volt • system voltage is above 30 volt • short circuit or open circuit on the CAN bus (separate DTCs)
• Faulty EBS unit • EBS unit disconnected from the CAN bus
