Node 1 missing (NODE_1_MISSING)
Check connectors and cable harnesses to ACS node 1. If the DTC is still active, exchange node 1.
What you'll see
No driver-visible symptom recorded.
System reaction
When the DTC is active, the ACS malfunction warning will be active and the system will enter limp home mode. The system cannot handle both high and low CAN being disconnected at the same time. In case of both high and low CAN being disconnected, the correct error codes will not be formed.
Diagnostic depth
The DTC becomes active in node 2 if - node 2 has not received any message from node 1 on red CAN for 5 seconds and - node 2 has not received any message on rose CAN for 5 seconds. The DTC is not set to active if the diagnostic command “disable normal transmission” is active. The DTC will become inactive if node 2 receives either a message on rose CAN or a message from node 1 on red CAN.
Short or open circuit in the cable harness. ECU malfunction.
