Check the EMS ECU. Also check other systems on the red CAN bus for related DTCs.
What you'll see
No driver-visible symptom recorded.
System reaction
When the DTC is active, the ACS malfunction warning will be active and the system will enter limp home mode. The ACS will send a torque limitation request to the EMS, but it is not sure that the ACS can control the engine in this case.
Diagnostic depth
The DTC becomes active when the ACS has not received a specific message from the EMS for 5 seconds. The DTC is not stored during IgnitionOff, EngineStart or HighVoltage. The DTC is not set to active if the diagnostic command “disable normal transmission” is active. The DTC becomes inactive when the ACS has received a specific message from the EMS.
The EMS is not working correctly or it has lost connection to CAN. Red CAN failure.
