The TCO is missing. (TCO_MISSING)

â–¶ How to fix

Check the TCO ECU or the COO ECU. Also check other systems on the red CAN bus for related DTCs.

What you'll see

No driver-visible symptom recorded.

System reaction

When the DTC is active, the ACS malfunction warning will be active and the system will enter limp home mode.

Diagnostic depth

Detection

The DTC becomes active when the ACS has not received a specific message from the TCO for 6 seconds. The DTC is not stored during IgnitionOff, EngineStart, HighVoltage or if DTC no 0016 (hex) COO_MISSING is active. The DTC is not set to active if the diagnostic command “disable normal transmission” is active. The DTC becomes inactive when the ACS has received a specific message from the TCO.

Possible cause

The TCO is not working correctly or it has lost connection to CAN. If the vehicle does not have a TCO, the possible cause is that the COO is not working correctly or it has lost connection to CAN.
